Electric Shock: Fendi Neon Clutch
Need to intensify your look for the day? Well look no further. Fendi just came out with a bunch of new neon wallets that will surely brighten up your summer outfit.

The clutches are new to the House’s small accessory purse line for summer and so far are only available at eluxury.com where they hold a retail price of $395 per pop.

Dressed in a coated leather embossed double-F mini-signature pattern in the colors aqualicious Blue, deep bloody Red, and willy wonky gold bar Orange. This neon newbie also features a front flap closure decorated with a polished silver metal buckle, that pops open to retail the logo textile lining which features eight card slots, clear ID window, and three flat pockets. Introducing: Coach Chelsea Handbag Collection
tBF’er BoysrSmelly beat me to the punch over in the forum, again! lol. Check out the new Chelsea Handbag collection to hit store shelves over at Coach. There are a few highs and a few lows but all and all I am pretty impressed with this new addition. Without a doubt its more appealing than Coach’s recently introduced (well revamped) Patchwork Line.

The new Chelsea Collection features soft shapes in some of Coach’s most popular silhouettes like the sling pack, mini shoulder flap, double strap satchel, hobos baby bag and tote. Also this newbie features identifiable features such as the brass or silver turn-lock closures, braided or grommet straps, patchwork and/or exotic leathers. That’s right, this collection comes in chocolate or mineral python-print leather! OMG the baby blue mineral beauty has looks to kill die for.

Pictured above are a few of the bags from the new collection. Below I looked at each one in more detail…

- Hands down the gem of the new collection is the mineral robins egg blue Python Satchel. This precious jewel is dressed in a python-embossed leather on the structured satchel body. The mouth of the bag is kept shut with the turn-lock closure which opens to show off the fabric lining, single zip pocket, multi-function pockets, ring to clip an accessory or keyfob. Perfect bag for those semi-dressy, going to hang out with the girls occasion, check it out. Measures 13‿ (L) x 7.5‿ (H) x 4.5‿ (W) Price: $998

- Next up is the bohemian-inspired Patchwork Large Hobo. Dressed in a pattern collage of neutral to gold leather and light to dark brown suede pattern fabric on the slouchy hobo shape. This bag also features a turn-lock closure, interior zip pocket, multi-functional pocket, and a ring clip for a keyfob. Not my favorite of the newbies, the criss-cross stitching pattern which merges the patterns together reminds me of bags produced in the 80’s. Click here to view more details. - Yes again with the optic signature. It’s back for yet another season and this time it’s featured in the Chelsea collection. The bag pictured above is the boxy shaped Optic Signature Tote in either the denim or camel colored optic print with silver hardware and a matching braided shoulder strap. I love this style. - Coach is introducing not only the new Chelsea handbag line, but a completely new hobo style as well – the saddlebag looking Abbey Flap Hobo. The bold features of this bag which make it look distinctly different than all the others include the leather whipstitch lacing through the brass eyes, mini tassels, studded detailing sprinkled all over the shoulder strap, a back pocket with magnetic snap closure and the gigantic flap which pops open to reveal the inside zip pocket, multi-function pocket, and a ring to clip a key fob. - And finally, *drum roll* it’s the Chelsea Hobo. This bag isn’t flashy or decorated with a bunch of overpopulated studded clutter, which is just how I like it. Dooney’s Sausage: The New Emma Roberts Bag
So about that Emma Roberts Dooney Bag… some of you may have seen the Extra video staring Emma Roberts about her bag that “she designed‿ for Dooney and Bourke. How quickly we all forgot the original Emma Bag that she had a part in designing. I’m not saying that she did or didn’t help out in designing this second version, but I am saying that her first kick at it sucked, big time. And yes I’m sure the designer’s over at the D and B headquarters realized it and pushed for this newer (I guess) improved design. Do I like the new Emma Bag?? Well, it sure is a lot more nicer looking. But I’m still going to have to go with a nay on my side. It looks like a sausage wiener from the side!!

Details on the improved Emma Roberts Bag: The new and improved sausage-looking bag is made of buttery soft glove leather, with bridle leather trim and solid brass hardware. Available in two sizes – The small size measures 11″ length x 4″ width x 4.5″ height and retails for $210. The larger size measures 15″ length x 4.5″ width x 4″ height and retails for $235. And is available in eleven colors, from basic black and brown to red, white, and marine blue.

Louis Vuitton That’s L.O.V.E. Satin Tote
Move over canvas the satin is here…

Remember when I mentioned how the Louis Vuitton Canvas That’s Love Bags, which looked a lot similar to Marc Jacobs super cheap totes from the Special Items Line, were finally available at eluxury.com and Louis Vuitton boutiques all over the world, where they retailed for a whopping $1,720. Well eluxury now has the Satin version available which retails for, no big surprise, the same price of $1,720. Definitely a very cute summer tote, but good lord almost $2k for a shoppers tote? I was thinking $850-ish - what do you guys think??

So like I mentioned before, what makes the Louis Vuitton’s Love Bag so special is that the satin body is ornamented with the hand-stitched logo, which took over 20 hours and 620 gold and silver tube beads to create. That’s the only flashy part of the bag. The interior is simple, lined with linen and features one single pocket. Measurements: 13‿ x 14.5‿ x 4‿

Reusable Shopper: Hermes Silky Pop Handbag
We have an update on the Hermes Silky Pop Totes I mentioned a while back… the bags are finally available at Hermes boutiques all over the world and at hermes.com!

The newbie is made of hand-wrought silk that’s decorated with a beautiful Hermes signature print. When not in use it easily folds up and collapses into a wallet-size calfskin pouch. To be honest when I first heard about this new addition to the House I wasn’t that excited. I guess I pictured some plain canvas shopper tote. But after seeing the gorgeous elaborate prints (much like the scarves) I was left in awe.

A spokesman for the designer house of Hermes said that the “Silky Pop Hermes bag is an upscale option to the extra fold-up shopping bag that many European women already carry in their purses.‿ And that this is the ideal tote if “Say you’re out walking. You decide to pick up a few apples, you pull out your bag. (But she quickly added) Though obviously, Hermes clients usually aren’t shopping for their own groceries.‿

Fendi Large Patent Navy Baguette Bag
New Baguette alert! Don’t you all just love how designers keep on updating their classics with different colors, materials, sizes and detailing? Many designers follow this scheme including Marc Jacobs with his Stam, Louis Vuitton and the Speedy, and of course, Fendi and its Baguette. Since the House of Fendi introduced the Baguette to the world of fashion, it’s been a major hit among many Bagista’s, including Carrie Bradshaw. For the Fall/Winter season, Fendi presents it’s infamous design dressed in crinkly navy patent leather and I love it! I’m a big-bag gal, so that’s why I must be attracted to this specific Baguette. They don’t call it the Large for no reason, measuring in at 16” x 9” x 3”, this is my type of “small bag”. The double F logo in plated gold is stunning and compliments its deep blue color, beautifully. Found on this piece is a single leather shoulder strap and I really like how its removable, meaning you can carry this beauty as an oversized clutch which is awesome! It’s no surprise that pretty Fendi’s carry pretty high price tags as this piece retails for $1,430. Steep, but definitely a classic piece to invest in.

Dior Leather Mosaic Tote
Normally, fall is a season filled with warm and fuzzy thoughts about colorful leaves and pumpkin-picking. But so far, this fall season has been nothing but rainy and gloomy. In fact, it has been raining where I live for the last 3 days… practically nonstop. Yep, it has definitely been a downer. So what can a girl do to cure her case of the fall blues? How about a REALLY brightly colored handbag to add some spring to your step? So whip out those sunglasses ladies and prepare to be dazzled. Introducing the Dior Leather Mosaic Tote. Now I’m not the kind of girl that typically goes for bags with beads on them, but that isn’t what made this bag catch my eye. Nope, it was that insanely bright shade of pink that did. This bag is so pink that it practically hurts your eyes just looking at it — hence the sunglasses. And even though this bag is not something I could ever see myself wearing, I do think it has the potential to add an extra pop of color to a brave woman’s look. Simply make sure the bag has the center stage by pairing it with a more subdued outfit. As for the beads, I suppose they sort of work for this bag in their own, quirky way. But I think a handbag in an eye-popping shade such as this one is best left unadorned. In other words, let the color speak for itself.

The Dior Leather Mosaic Tote measures 15.75″ x 11.75″ x 7.5″ and is available in Shocking Pink. The front is adorned with colored glass beads, creating the impression of a mosaic. It retails for a jaw-dropping $3,200 (Wow! Those beads better be gemstones, not glass!).

Mulberry Roxanne A4 Tote
What’s this I see? Is that really a new style from Mulberry? Okay, I admit, I don’t really know if this is truly a new style or not. But I can safely say that I have never seen it before. It looks similar to the well-known Roxanne Bag, but it is different. The Mulberry Roxanne A4 Tote has been stretched vertically to make it look more like a tote, rather than a satchel. Otherwise it still has the same front pockets and buckled strap running down the middle. And since Mulberry is considered Britain’s first “lifestyle” brand, I think I can safely say that this version of the Roxanne Bag is probably the more functional one of the two. This bag could go just about anywhere and hold just about anything. And although I have never been a huge fan of the Mulberry Roxanne bag, I think this newer version has some potential. So eat your hearts out Mulberry fans! You can now have the look of the Roxanne Bag with the convenience of a tote! But for people like me, that aren’t head-over-heels in love with Mulberry, it may be better to instead pick up a bag like the new Marc Jacobs Jen Bag if you’re looking for something classic and black. It retails for about the same amount, but it isn’t covered with all that hardware.

Gucci Tribeca Medium Shoulder Bag
Let’s go back in time to the 60’s with Gucci! Ok… maybe that wasn’t their intention with this new fall edition, but seriously, take at look at the Tribeca Medium Shoulder Bag. Umm… what was Gucci thinking? I understand they seek the vintage boho look for the season, but this scheme is done so wrong! Recently, Gucci has been found guilty in throwing odd “stuff” onto their designs. Can you recall their strange Babouska line and the flower-picking rabbits they recently presented to the fashion world this season? The only likes I find on this piece would be the rich smooth leather and the fact that this is Gucci. I dislike the tassels, the heart-shaped crest; and the messenger style of this particular design is boring. Unfortunately, the $1,395 price tag is nowhere near convincing, either. In reference to the tattoo, did Gucci get inspired off of artist and fashion designer Ed Hardy? I haven’t heard of any inked goods and accessories craze other than for Mr. Hardy, and to be honest, I’m not impressed with Gucci’s tattoo design. Ladies, what’s your input on the Tribeca Shoulder Bag, and most importantly, would you wear this?

GUCCI Nylon “Beach” Tote
Look at what I found today! If it weren’t for the title letting you know that this piece is by Gucci, I bet you would have never guessed it yourself. Hmm… a nylon tote sporting colorful kiddy designs and leather trimming, does Dooney & Bourke ring a bell? Among the clutter you will find stars, fish, florals, mermaids, waves, shells, birds, butterflies, BEACH, and this list can keep on going… Umm… I don’t know what to say to this. This is upsetting coming from the House of Gucci. With designs like these, I can’t help but wonder if Gucci recruited some Dooney & Bourke “geniuses” to work for them. This is tacky, juvenile, and definitely something I would not want to carry this fall/winter season. One simple leather shoulder strap and logoed identification tags can be found on this tote as well. A $795 price tag for a brand new Gucci sounds fantastic, but in reference to this silly piece, $795 is extremely over exaggerating when Dooney & Bourke offers similar pieces for more than half of Gucci’s asking price. What do you Bagista’s have to say over this tote, and most importantly, would you wear this?
